Diseases (of any kind) are not only identifiable with diagnosis, cures, treatments and courses, but also with the human history of the afflicted person and of the suffering suffered by the patient and his family and friends. This sphere of empathy is something that is experienced daily in hospitals, clinics and private homes, it is not an easy topic to deal with but it is something we must not forget.
