The goal of a blood test to detect signs of Alzheimer’s and other symptoms of Dementia appears to be near.
During the Alzheimer Association International Conference different groups of scientists have spoken about their research. Excellent results are also being achieved, although establishing the medical care routine of a blood test for this degenerative disease is certainly not a short process.
Around 50 million people worldwide suffer from Dementia and Alzheimer’s is the most common form. Among the most important scientists who participated in this conference are Dr. Akinori Nakamura of the National Center for Geriatrics and Gerontology in Obu (Japan), the DR. Abdul Hye of King’s College London (UK) and Dr Randall Bateman of Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis (USA).
