The scientific communications company Cactus Communications has released its report on the state of mental health in the scientific research community globally.

The survey collected responses from over 13,000 participants in seven languages, 43% claiming that their organization does not implement effective policies to maintain a good work-life balance, resulting in a negative impact on mental health.

Unfortunately, there is still a stigma for this type of problem even in the academic world.
The serious thing is that only 8% of respondents believe they have a good work-life balance.

With working from home, the boundaries between private life and working life are increasingly blurred, with a consequent increase in hours worked and pressure on people.

Academic culture, like other cultures, must change in favor of a good work-life balance.
